And as we know, those who stay to the end of the day - get to see the biggest action of the day.

Yep, last meeting we did (Sandown) the manure sure hit the fan at the end of the day...

Hope Tassie's fun for you Laser - sorry but given the choice I'd still prefer to attend PI...

It's going to be one of the meetings of the year I think......

It will be even more 'fully sick' than the drifting

You wish, race-torque. Muhahaha. Actually, it'll be something of a 'cold-off', between the CAMS Series at PI, the Toyo Drift Australia Series at Symmons Plains and the NSW State Series at Wakefield Park.

I'd be expecting short odds for Phillip Island, As Barry Sheene uttered those oft quoted words: "Welcome to Phillip Island, Gateway to hypothermia..."

The furthest corner on the circuit aint called "Siberia" for nothin'!

Aint that the truth MG.

Mind you back in the mid 90's I had two car fires to put out when working as a flaggie in consectutive meetings to keep me warm. One of them was a Formula Holden which made it to TV with Eastlake commentating at the "threashold of pain". Must "burn" (pun not intended) that to DVD & mpeg one day if I can find the tape in the shed.

Dont think you'll see too many F4000s going round the Island again. One day they'll be classed as historics though.....

Will be my first visit to the Island, and very much looking forward to it. I am bummed I can't do the Tassie drift.... Symmons Plains is a neat little track to shoot at. Although it's most likely colder now than back in April...... ewww.

See you down there race-torque. Have fun at Wakefield Mitchie. Enjoy Symmons laser!

I should be easy to spot down at PI too....

Yep, look for the "Northener" wearing 2 jumpers...

Seriously, weather's supposed to be not too bad - mostly fine and mild.

As for laser, good luck mate - It's been known to be snow on the nearby hills on Xmas day in Tassie...

Race-Torque is right, this should be one of the meetings of the year. The earlier PI Round was a great meeting but this one promises even more.

A better field of F3s and a one hour GT mini enduro. The always entertaining V8 Utes and Commodore Cup and the ever growing Saloon Car field (the HQs of the 00s?). Add in the variety of the Performance Cars and it's a smorgasbord of motorsport with something for everyone.

The weather looks promising so there is really no excuse not to be there especially with the admiitance price being at the other end of the spectrum compared to V8 Supercar meeting for an arguably better program of racing.

Yeah Im really looking forward to tomorrow morning and the days/weekends event. The one hour enduro will be quite interesting.

Saloon cars of late have had huge fields with impressive racing at the front, especially between Bruce Heinrich and Kris Walton.

Cant wait. Only 14 hours until departure.
