I have upgraded to a new computer in the last two weeks System specs
dual core intel p4 3.4ghz 2 512 ram asus gforce 7600Gs 512 ram pci-e card dvdrw/cdrw writer 250 gig hard drive windows xp home with service pack 2
I have installed V8 challenge but when I go to play it, the setting screen shows up first instead of having to click settings before the games loads. I go to start game and it only gets as far as the EA sports logo and wont go any further. Any suggestions on what could be the problem
Try running the settings program and fiddle with the video to suit the PC, it could simply be not set up correctly for the video card. FYI I recently installed it on a new AMD XP64 PC, (running SP2'd XP Pro) with no issues whatsoever.
Thanks I'll give that a try. I might also try the compatibility mode in xp.
The funny thing is, I tried the game on the wife’s laptop which is a HP running a Celeron 2.8 with only 256 meg of ram and a on board ATI Radeon graphics card and it works fine.
Have tried the above but still no joy its just stops at the easports logo Here is a copy of the error report I get when a have to end the program [img]Have tried the above but still no joy its just stops at the easports logo Here is a copy of the error report I get when a have to end the program it may shed some light on the problem
Hi 6th gear Thanks for that, I have had no luck at all getting V8 challenge to run even in windows compatibilty mode still no luck. So you are running the game with onboard graphics not a graphics card ?
