Sonic i wasn't aware of anything like that.
He did however continue on till the end of the race so it couldn't have been that bad

I am surprised no one has mentioned that mirror Skaife broke in 2003. Accordiong to superstition, he still had another 4 years left on his bad-luck curse.

So Skaife spearing off the end of the straight at Symonds plains wasn't a mistake then

He speared off because Courtney broke something in the rear of the car when he used him as a brake at the hairpin.
He went off in race 2 (or was it 3, there were so many people hitting into him) because some "driver" in a GRM car I believe, made contact with Skaife's right front wheel breaking the steering arm and sending him off.

If everyone wants to argue Skaife's past it, learn the facts first.

I know you meant that tongue in cheek but I think you'll find Skaife's bad luck/judgement started at Indy 2002, the round immediately after he won wrapped up the C'ship with his win at Bathurst.

Well, he did use up a lot of luck at Bathurst with the car being able to survive those last few laps.

Maybe he sold his soul to Marcos ?

I'd appreciate it if you so called " people " would stop implying, insinuating and accusing him of making driving errors.

Well, I just saw on Channel 10 that Skaife made a mistake during the Top Ten Shootout at Bahrain. He spun, lost heaps of time and as a result ended up 10th.

I didn't see any other cas involved, and his pit crew didn't seem to be anywhere near by.

So who do we blame? I guess it must have been a driving error by Skaife.

I am sure he will continue to make some more driving errors in 2007 as well - as will Murphy and every other driver in the field

How can a little love tap in the rear bumper make you miss your brake marker????

As far as learning the facts goes , let me just remind you of a little ripper that you made.
QR when Ambrose chased all but the eventual winner down after a drive through. You claimed Skaifes engine was spulltering and missing for laps before and It just happened to let go at the same time that Ambrose caught him.

Well it as documented by myself and others that just happened to be right where it all happened. If you were a solicitor i think you'd call it an eyewitness. Skaife buzzed the engine on the down shift and it lunched itself.
So Munro you of all people shouldn't be telling people to learn the facts first.

How will these two under-acheievers in 2006 perform in 2007?

Murphy is going to a new team, basically starting from scratch in terms of knowing teh team and fitting in.

Skaife will continue with the same old people and team environment.

Both teams are apprently going to start in brand new VE Com-dores (yes, the name has been shortened to reflect the actual race car
)

No data to rely on from previous years, no 'second hand' chassis or old engine excuses. Brand new season, brand new cars.

In no more than 50 words per driver, cast your eye over the crystal ball and tell us how you see seasons 2007 going for Murphy and Skaife.

Well after 2 rounds lets revisit this topic

Skaife
4th at the momement last year finished 16th

Murphy
12th at the moment last year finished 24th

Not a bad improvement so far. Lets see how it is after Rnd 3

Yeah, His mirror broke when it hit the wall with the rest of the car...due to An SBR driver intentionally running him off the road. But hey, let's not bother with examining the context, we'll just talk about very easily manipulated facts.

Skaife will win out this year, easily. He's in the faster car, he's a better driver and he's back to his old form.

agreed ....Munro and Muprh is a 'classic' example of an average driver being made to look good by TWR equipment..take away that 'massive' car adavantage and what have you got....not much it seems!
