OK, some useless stats of average finishing place for all 3 drivers when driving for Gibson Motorsport in the V8 only era (not including DNF's)
Skaife 5.78 Lowndes 8.65 Murph 10.2
Bearing in mind of course Gibson were the gun Holden team in 94/95 before TW and HRT really started to get the package together so Skaife's early results really contribute to the higher ranking
if you want to compare skiafe and Murph. 2001- 2004. 4 championships, older cars for Murph, still he best Skaife in two of those occasions but Skaife won the championship in the other 2
I think that Jason Bright is a good example...good in just about anything...SBR AU..(the early dog areo one), HRT, PWR, FPR and now Britek.
Maybe Murph could have got some of those results at FPR , could he have turned the team around like Brighty did...NUP! Could he haul a backmarker team like Britek up from about third last to top ten contender...NO WAY! Brighty can though, Skaifey could...more than likely! Could Garth(didn't do it with GRM..look at what Holdsworth has done), could Rick or Todd.....not a hope in hell!
TWR make these guys look good...with Skaifey being the key contributor along with Tom! Way it tis.........
You know SF, you may have a point there about MA lapping the field in a TWR car...Thank God, us Ford supporters never had to find out!
