According to my Winton sources the THEY you refer to would be the organiser of the National Series and not the people up North.

The side of the fence you live on determines the veiw you get as does the opinions of peoples sources determine the info you receive.

Series sources are going to say things to put their series in a better public light & ........ of course Winton does not need the National Series as it's already pretty well booked up with other things on most weekends and many, many weekdays as well.

Oh and hasn't Winton got two rounds of the so call "Back Fill" (AMRS)series again next year as well as three rounds of the VMRC??

I said the AMRS series was landfill (in other words most of the fields are so small and most of the cars are so outdated they belong in historic racing so they would be better off dumped in a hole in the ground) not "back fill".

While i'm not an AMRS 'supporter' as such, I do like the concept behind the AMRS. The whole idea was to bring it to peoples attention that CAMS are ripping off their competitors, and many of the circuits. Whilst AMRS categories look a little second rate, alot of competitors do enjoy them, and like the fact it costs hundreds of dollars less to race there, than it does in the CAMS or CAMS sanctioned State series.

To answer your question PVDA, Winton and Calder have two rounds each of the now 8 round (!) Victorian State Series!

CNRS chat on here only please. There is an entire category and multiple forums dedicated to the AMRS if you want to chat about it there.

I think the demands go the other way.... Winton apparently demanded different dates but that is only part of it, the same arguments as previous years,I know a couple of different people who have run series before and had basically had the same type of demands placed on them by the same track.........
