is it possible to format a Hard Drive (XP) without the Windows XP disk? Iv tried right clicking C Drive and clicking format but it didnt like that, said something was using C Drive, but I cant find anything that is.
Putting the HDD in an other computer could create all sorts of problems because active primary partitions will try to fight over which one to boot from. It can be done but you need to know what you are doing.
If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all
yup... can be done... but what are you gonna install to run your HDD once you've reformatted if you have no disc?
i used to do it with 98 quite a bit and it was an easy job then... XP is a pain in the rectanol but can still do it (will be doing it over this weekend actually... not looking forward to it tho.. and i have the disc..)
