Looking to upgrade from my G25, especially as the G27 is showing up in places for a measly $200!

I've had a look on YouTube and pretty much the only difference between the G25 and G27 is that the G27 only has the H-Pattern, no sequential (and a lot more effort has gone into getting the H-Pattern feeling better), more buttons on the steering wheel, a bit more distance between the pedals, and the ever enticing shift light, which is super cool!

Anyone have any first hand experience with the G27? I'm pretty much just looking for a reason to buy one.

Biggest let downs for me with the G27 are the shift lights don't work in rFactor (but for some strange reason they work in the cut down demo of it that comes with the wheel) and the lack of a sequential option

However I did invest in a sequential shifter mod for the G27 and it certainly does make racing V8 Supercars, modern sportcars, etc more accurate

The H pattern shift is ok but still a little sloppy for my liking in the heat of battle particulary around tracks which have a lot of gear changes

At the price it's at now it's a great buy....

I have one, got it mid last year once I had some sweet dosh - it was my first proper one after my really, really old one - and I absolutely love it!!

As a hardcore simmer I thrash it time wise, it's almost been a year - hasn't missed a beat yet (touch wood). The dash section gets a bit hot in long, heavy-steering-car races, like 1.5 hour Indy Car road races on iRacing, but seemingly doesn't effect it.

If anything happens to it, I'll get a new one - and when the next Logi comes out I'll be jumping in first thing.

Sequential would be nice, but seeing as GT cars since 2011 are paddle-only it's only really V8's and older GT cars where you lack the 100% realism. Thinking of getting a button box from overseas to amp up my rig! But 6 buttons on the wheel is very, very useful as it is. Haven't driven on a G25, but the 27's h-pattern seems pretty good to me.

If you get it you won't regret it!

Yeah more buttons on the steering wheel is a big selling point for me, even when playing arcade racing games (let alone rFactor), I found the need for more buttons.

I'm not too worried about losing the sequential shift, I find that the flappy paddle is easier to use, and when it gets competitive I always revert to the easier way. Looks like I'll have to try and sell my G25 for as much as possible and pick up a G27. Cheers guys.

G27 is good difference from the G25 is more buttons on the steering wheel and also is H patten. Brake pedal is seriously strong. Thinking about selling mine as I've only used it once or twice as I much prefer sequential then H patten.

Yes it does, it's an extra plugin you need to download. Mine works fine.

Try a quick google search should find it for you.

Thanks for that, just a shame Logitech didn't have a fix out of the box for it...
