Recently retired drivers are fast in enduros but put them back in a full time drive and they have no chance at championship victories. Might as well give young blokes a go and at least then you may have a chance at potentially hiring the next Scotty Mc

With you on that. Stumbling bloke though is they need a media personality to go with the driving skills.

Ford fans be proud. History of Australian motor racing shows Ford has been and will always be superior. They have to slow them down when they get serious about racing. The Phase 4 scared the **** out of people, they banned it. Sierra gets called on a technicality, Falcon EF "...had its wings clipped to make Holden part of the show", AU not allowed to show it's potential, Falcon BF gets clipped. Mustang Is so good Supercars made up a rule and gets a bag of cement in the roof, and it still wins.

Come on down, Will Brown!

The great 2019 poll about whether Tricky should be banned or not ended in favour of Tricky staying, 75% to 25%

Me thinks we've tipped the wrong DJR Team Penske driver to head off to NASCAR.

After yesterday's performance it's clearly Fabian that is heading over there and not Scott. If the team do get done for race fixing, they will sack Fabs, and Fabian will head over to the US to revitalise his career in NASCAR.

It worked for Nelson Piquet Jr.

RK and AH in Mustangs can go either way. You’d have to think Rick would be on his way down and Andre is probably not going to ever peak at his full potential at the Kelly’s.

Back to Holden V ford, master stroke from Supercars! Bet Tony is happy he jumped when he did.

It would probably be cheaper to stick with their current cars and use up some parts before the new rules in 2021. The Aero will have to be re-homologated for 2020 if they do.

This could be Rick's last year, or close to it and he would not want to toodle around in obsolete cars, just to save money, when he would have a winning chance with a Mustang.

Mustangs will be simpler and let Penske/Ford do all the Aero changes. The initial panels can be purchased from 23Red and copies made.

Starting a Super2 team is a good compromise for workshop use and using up parts stocks, but Super 2 teams are clearly having problems with attracting paying customers.

Awesome news. Give them a few rounds and we will see just what KRT is capable of, I hope some people get coated with egg!

New Commodore Hey! So you used your own money? Would you like to buy a used bridge?

I'm very excited to see what Heimgartner can do with a Mustang! It should be another quick Kiwi at the front of the field.

Engines done in-house too! Looking forward to see what they can do.
Rick especially has burnt some good years in a slow car, underrated IMO.

This is the exciting and interesting part:

Kelly Racing has confirmed it will scale down to two cars and run Ford Mustangs, partnering with Ford and Ford Performance in the process.

https://www.speedcafe.com/2019/10/15/kelly-racing-confirms-two-car-ford-mustang-program/

Lets face it. 888 is good and has some GMH financial backing for the ongoing Commodore homologation.

But: Ford has the backing of the combined Penske and Ford Performance organisations who will already be working on adjustment to the new reduced Aero for 2020 (as will 888 be.)

The current engines are to be detuned, so the Kelly in-house engine build has a lower target range. All the Kellys have to do is build some engines in their very well equipped engine shop and fit panels to their best chassis. It's a much smaller task than re-fettling the Nissans. Maybe they will build complete new cars as the old Altimas are very saleable for Super2.

Kelly sponsors and potential sponsors will like the chance to get on board with potential winners instead of potential top 10 cars.

This is GOOD news confirmation.

Also: we have seen that well organised Commodore teams, with 888 cars data support backing and experienced drivers can give the 888/GMH factory team a run for its money and there are to be potentially better backed teams in TEKNO/Salmon, Team 18/CS and MSR with active 888 data support.

It all bodes well for a fighting series of races in 2020.

I was disappointed when they left the mighty GM, understood the reasons all the same. Its a shame the Nissan's didn't work out, The news they are going to the dark side has severed all the good will still left. a pox on the their new direction, it's unacceptable.

Ford will always be the enemy

I'd take a nice XT GT all the same though!!!
