Roland Dane has said that they look to slick for photos so they are now having plastic surgery to fix the problem.

They done the whole championship winner stuff the weekend he wrapped it up. Itís old news. No conspiracy.

Poor BJR, If true and they had no idea then It says a lot about Slade as a person.

Is Courtney contracted to Tekno or was it the purposed Sydney entry (Tekno/Salmon)? Just wondering since it now appears GRM/Salmon are negotiating. Where does that leave James? Free agent again? Does he stay with Tekno or are there drives elsewhere?

Courtney is apparently contracted to his old buddy Jono at TEKNO and there were a stack of press releases and photos.

GRM are keeping their cars in their museum, so Salmon can't buy them, and I haven't heard of any connection except possible equipment sales.

I would not be surprised to see TEKNO run Courtney in a single car team, hopefully with a fully upgraded car. If TEKNO grab the Sydney gig and money, they will need to expand to two cars. Jono and his father Steve seemed confident earlier this year, so it might happen, although AA suggested that Salmon was paying the bills and Salmon is cool on the connection..

Salmon isn't saying much publicly but he did suggest that 2021 was his initial target when the workshop construction is due to be completed at the track. Salmon also suggests that it is he that has the initial agreements for the Sydney team in place.

Supercars will review the plans for the new Sydney-based team this week, amid ongoing uncertainty as to how the project will be structured.

It's already been confirmed that the squad will be underpinned by what's currently the one-car Tekno Autosports team, which will relocate from Queensland's Gold Coast to Sydney's eastern suburbs.

An expansion to two cars was then thought likely to come through a tie-up with businessman Rod Salmon, who was linked to the purchase of a second Racing Entitlements Contract.

However it appears Salmon is now unlikely to have a heavy involvement, casting uncertainty into how the team, which has already confirmed James Courtney as its lead driver, will be structured.

Having played a key role in bringing the deal together, Supercars CEO Sean Seamer has confirmed that crunch talks will take place in the coming days.

He says the priorities will be sorting out the ownership of the second REC and who will drive the second car, to ensure all parties involved, including the New South Wales government and the Australian Racing Drivers' Club, are satisfied.

Other details, such as where the team will be located until the new Centre of Excellence has been completed at SMP, are less pressing.

"We'll be reviewing the plan for Team Sydney next Wednesday, and be looking to finalise a REC transfers, or sale of RECs etcetera, not long after that," he said.

"We're pretty much out of time. We've got a view of what the different parties want to do. So, we're about a week away from a decision and confirmation on that.

Hope so will be a sad Adelaide without Gazza. Will be hilarious if Jono has to fork out JCs income after getting the ass from the Sydney deal

I did surmise a fair way back on this thread that Rod Salmon would need to do a full startup with cars and equipment and the GRM stuff might be available.

Then GRM announced they were keeping their cars for their Museum. GRM could be persuaded to lease the cars to Salmon and restore them later. they have a spare too. WAU would probably do an engine deal.

Very interesting. I hope it happens.

I still consider that a single car TEKNO Jono/Courtney team could still do well, if they update the car.

No one according to his Instagram page. They are taking a break from sponsoring Supercars until it becomes fairer/cheaper/more even/etc.

Mostert confirmed this morning

RIP05

_Mholden

RIP LJ - loved and never forgotten.

"It was dry for the second go-around. Grice, nervous, worrying about his Bathurst jinx, ran 2:25.9. The amazing Brock, using every last centimetre of bitumen, yet keeping the car straight and balanced and at full noise, came back with a staggering 2:20.0 as if to say: "Match that". And people just shook their heads, bit their lips and wondered who would be second".

The Peter Brock trophy is now where it belongs.

not happening, just made a farewell video on Instagram thanking them for their support

isn't it funny how people claim to be "diehard" supporters of Chaz, or even Frosty as a recent example, and then as soon as they jump ship they're the first to shut them down and hurl insults at them. poor form

Reading the article, there is speculation, but:

No announcement re leBroc
No announcement re Fullwood
No announcement re Supercheap.

You may be right but that reference does not support your conjecture.

You must have a different version of that reference than is available on line.
