Who agrees with Paul “let the drivers sort it out” rather than the 5 and 15 second penalties.

So basically any time a driver thinks they were wronged, they should be allowed to punt someone into a wall? Was that Paul’s suggestion?

Back when Paul was driving a Gemini, he was summoned into the Stewards room at Lakeside and the Head Steward gave him a thorough lecture about his aggressive driving standards.

Apparently attitudes don't change much.

If you had watched Episode 4, you would have seen Ingall punt off Morris. They both reckon that’s what Mostert should have done to Scotty at Turn 10.

They also reckon the Excel Cup was the better race!

I don't want to antagonise Trickyonne. But rubbin's racin if you're a **** driver who also watches too many movies.

I would suggest that the majority or fans like the rubbin...people complain that Supercars and F1 are boring..why ?...no passing and no biff....remember the skaife Ingall controversy?....huge for the sport and was great theatre

If you want parity and no rubbing, it will be boring....it can’t be any different

F1 allow more contact than Supercars.

I seen multiple passes in Canada on the weekend where the cars touched, rubbed wheels and the driver passing escorted the other person wide.

They need to allow more rubbing in supercars.
I don't have a huge issue with a bump and run, as long as it doesn't punt the other car off the track. If they leave the track, then re-address.

At the moment there's almost a lack of incentive to pass due to the possibility of there being a penalty if you get it even slightly wrong.

For mine, if you have to bump the car in front to upset it so you can pass, then you're not a very talented driver.

Like all the people on Gran Turismo Sport. Playing online last night at Bathurst, I had a joker in a Megane run up the back of me at the Chase, so I did a McLaughlin and came back on track at full speed and managed to push him into the wall on the tyre bridge.

Ok not as bad in real life as the drivers tend not to go full pelt into the back of cars, but I agree. It's poor racing. I don't have an issue with a bit of bashing doors or whatever but bump and runs are dodgy as.

At the same time, if you can't pull a gap maybe you don't deserve to be up the front.

Back when I had enough free time to drive on iRacing, if someone was fast enough to catch up I tried to let them overtake as quickly as possible and focus on my own race instead of risking a fight with someone who'd probably overtake eventually anyway.

And when I caught up to someone if they didn't let me pass easily, I took that as permission to be equally aggressive in my attack.
