Guys

An article caught my attention in our todays paper that made mention of Allan's current health battle with Alzheimers and that he has the fight of his life to the extent he has been moved to a special care facility.

Larry Perkins and Co are endeavouring to also sort out what his wishes would be in relation to his assets etc as apparently he hasn't got a will.

Did a quick search and this article sums it up.

Doesn't sound good for our true Ford hero.

Sad news, but wrong section perhaps? Why is LP involved? Allan has a son no?

Read it on the Allan Moffat Facebook page earlier. Doesn't sound good at all. My grandpa had Alzheimer's and it's just awful to see them like that.

How good is it to hear that Larry (among others) are helping out Moff. What a salt of the earth bloke LP is. Very sorry to hear about Allanís health but it doesnít surprise me - he hasnít looked well for some time.

I remember a comment by Aaron Noonan around the time Moff released his book, going along the lines of, it was time to get it all out before the stories got lost.
As others say, fantastic to hear LP and Fred Gibson helping out... sounds like a battle between Moff's partner and son?

It is sad to hear.

I had clashes with Allan as a driver, and as an official and as a promoter, but that is all in the past.

I wish him well, and his family who need to support him.

RIP LJ - loved and never forgotten.

"It was dry for the second go-around. Grice, nervous, worrying about his Bathurst jinx, ran 2:25.9. The amazing Brock, using every last centimetre of bitumen, yet keeping the car straight and balanced and at full noise, came back with a staggering 2:20.0 as if to say: "Match that". And people just shook their heads, bit their lips and wondered who would be second".

The Peter Brock trophy is now where it belongs.
