After the AGP all the races bar NZ are local affairs, I doubt thereíll be a need to cancel anything

The WTAC attracts overseas entrants so thatís likely why it got the flick.

7 months out makes you wonder why they rushed into the decision to flick it!

The way they are shutting schools and now Universities down, seems to me anywhere there are large groups the organisers are getting gun shy. Same question for footy and AFL really. Already one player tested but cleared. Already been fights in trains over people uncovered sneezing will the panic hit sporting events?

The Victorian Government has said they're working on a plan which is likely to include banning "large public gatherings" and sporting events are specifically mentioned as an example.

Other governments around the world have already taken that step, so we should assume it will happen here and not just in Victoria.

Seriously considering not heading to the track Friday because of it.

Probably will go, I do like free beer, but I can see there being issues in the long term and races could potentially be run in-house like the Bahrain GP

RIP LJ - loved and never forgotten.

"It was dry for the second go-around. Grice, nervous, worrying about his Bathurst jinx, ran 2:25.9. The amazing Brock, using every last centimetre of bitumen, yet keeping the car straight and balanced and at full noise, came back with a staggering 2:20.0 as if to say: "Match that". And people just shook their heads, bit their lips and wondered who would be second".

The Peter Brock trophy is now where it belongs.

You mean,
Buy convincing the local governments to pay the sanction fees because it is a "tourism" event right........

As stated by others in other threads, no different to local Governments putting money into State of Origin, Olympics, Floriade, NRL/AFL clubs and ground maintenance, basically most public events worth going to...
Why are others entitled to have their interests supported but we aren't?

On Covid19 - Supercars have swapped the autograph sessions to a fan Q&A.
Some teams are also cancelling any public appearances of drivers.

China achieved that by placing 11 million healthy people in Quarantine. That's more than the population of Sydney/Melbourne combined and I can't see our government doing the same thing.

The virus is likely to stick around for a lot longer for us.

Also... China hasn't seen a drop in cases, they've just seen the number of cases hold steady at about 80,000 people. It just growing slightly each day instead of going up by thousands per day.
