Seems like it has been WEEKS since out last round. QR is coming up this weekend, though. Just to get us all back onboard the HMAS V8CFL as our shore liberty is coming to a close, team roster changes are due by MIDNIGHT THURSDAY SYDNEY, NSW time (as always). As of right now, there are no changes submitted. Good luck to all.

QR round results should be out fairly quick. I now have all weekends off with respect to my day job here in the States.

But for now, back to replacing the rotted brake lines on my road car......

************

26/7:

Past Midnight Thursday. All team rosters are locked for the QR round this weekend. The only changes are mine (R&K Motorsports) in Group F.

Good luck to all.

************

29/7:

QR Results are up. Shogun Autosports' lead is shrinking, but if I know Team Principal Helix, he is neither sweating nor blinking.

Race 1 Results:

1 Ignition Motorsports ignition Ford Falcon FG
2 All Aussie Racing ThePhoon Ford FPV F6
3 151 Motorsport SportsExtra Motorsport Nissan Altima L33

Race 2 Results:

1 Legocy Racing Lanky1 Ford Mustang
2 ITR Mugen Infamous Honda NSX
3 Ain't Care Motorsports skaifeman Holden Commodore ZB

SIX different makes! Now THAT is PARITY!

And, if you REALLY want to see parity, check out the standings in the Moffat Division with respect to the Tournament!

As for the Stewards Summary: Race 1 had the 35 car cop a time penalty, which was reflected in the official rundown/points tally. In Race 2, Cars 88, 97, 5, 6, 23, and 55 all copped 25 point penalties. Please refer to the thread I started for this (ahem) debacle.

See you all at Tailem Bend. Well..... on line anyways. It's not like I am going to drive there.

************

21/8:

Just to get us all back on stride, the Tailem Bend round is this weekend. All team roster changes must be in by MIDNIGHT THURSDAY SYDNEY, NSW time.

As of right now, the only changes submitted are by A-Tech Motorsport and R&K Motorsports.

************

23/8:

Past the Thursday deadline. All team rosters are locked in for The Bend.

************

26/8:

Tailem Bend Results are posted:

Race 1 Podium:

1 Blokes Advice Racing / V8SuperRiley / Ford Mustang
2 Legocy Racing / Lanky1 / Ford Mustang
3 ITR Mugen / Infamous / Honda NSX

Race 2 Podium:

1 Bartsport / adzy B / Infiniti Q60
2 All Aussie Racing / ThePhoon / Ford FPV F6
3 151 Motorsport / SportsExtra Motorsport / Nissan Altima L33

One thing to note, however, is that the Stewards Summary from CAMS is incomplete. It does not have Race 22 results. However, I am fairly confident that no penalties were issued unless we get the dreaded "brake not locked during pit stop" scenario. I will keep my ear to the ground and update all one way or another once CAMS comes through for us.

Next up - New Zealand and Pukekohe.

************

4/9:

As we head across the water to Pukekohe in a little bit of time, this will mark the last race prior to the Enduros. Every year in the V8CFL we have the Enduro Cup, which was won last year by Helix and Professor.

We have 21 members in the V8CFL this year. Only 20 will compete in the Enduro Cup. The 21st placed team will be excluded.

Based on the V8CFL table after Pukekohe, teams will be formed as they have been in yearsí past using the formula: 1st-20th, 2nd-19th, 3rd-18th, etc., all the way down to 10th-11th.

So after Pukekohe, the Enduro Cup field and teams will be set.

Just a heads-up.

************

8/9:

I have an update with regards to the Enduro Cup.

Via PM, I have been notified by Team Principal Professor that he is holding up his hand and withdrawing his team, GoGetEm Racing, from any participation in the upcoming 2019 V8CFL Enduro Cup, despite being co-champion of this event in 2018. He has his reasons which he explained to me.

At this point in time, GoGetEm Racing sits 20th in the table.

This means that the remaining team which currently sits 21st in the table, Sideways Racing with Brightman as Team Principal, will get the call up to be the 20th team in the Enduro Cup no matter where said camp sits in the table post Pukekohe.

Getting us all back together before the New Zealand round this weekend..... all changes to the rosters must be in before MIDNIGHT THURSDAY SYDNEY, NSW time. As of right now, only The Arrow Motorsport has submitted a change.

Results should be out fairly prompt for I have the weekend off here, so Monday night my time..... Tuesday afternoon yours - at the latest.

Two rounds left in the Tournament prior to the post season. Last round before the Enduros and the V8CFL Enduro Cup, not to mention the annual International Open Enduro Cup.

See you on the other side of the checkers!

************

13/9: Rosters are now locked. Good luck.

************

17/9: Pukekohe Results are posted. Respective podiums are:

Race 1:
1 R&K Motorsports / mikeamerica84 / Ford Mustang
2 Scott Morrison Motorsports / Trickyonne / Suzuki Kizashi SE
3 McG Motorsport / DanMcG / Hyundai Excel X3

Race 2:
1 Legocy Racing / Lanky1 / Ford Mustang
2 ITR Mugen / Infamous / Honda NSX
3 Bartsport / adzy B / Infiniti Q60

The Stewards Summary is self explanatory. All punishments were dished out during the races, whether it be a pit lane drive-through or a time penalty.

Stand by within the next day, or so, for word on the V8CFL Enduro Cup and International Open Enduro Cup.

************

7/10:

Just to start getting us back in the groove for the upcoming Bathurst Round, this is the last Regular Season round for the Tournament.

http://www.v8central.com/snitz3403/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=42096

Heading into Bathurst, Brightman and his Sideways Racing outfit have made the only roster change so far. Changes, like always, are due before MIDNIGHT THURSDAY SYDNEY, NSW time.

Also the V8CFL Enduro Cup will begin for 20 of our campaigners combined into ten teams.

http://www.v8central.com/snitz3403/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=42326

And lastly, the Open International Enduro Cup will run, too. As of now we only have five teams. Sign up, guys. We need to pad the starting grid. Talk some of your mates into joining.

http://www.v8central.com/snitz3403/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=42327

************

11/10:

It is now past the deadline for V8CFL changes to rosters for Bathurst. Sideways Racing has the only roster change submitted. Good luck to all.

The Open International Enduro Cup entry deadline has also passed. We will go with six. A short field, but a field nonetheless. Good luck there, too.

************

14/10:

I'll have the Bathurst Results out around Tuesday-ish your time. With Petit LeMans and F1 at Suzuka, it was a jam-packed weekend.

Was the forum down for a few days or was it this side of the Pacific?

Down for everyone Mike.
We had to watch the race 'analogue' style. Just the old-fashioned TV.

Oh, I guess that's how it goes some times. Nothing is fool proof when it comes to the net. What a time to go down though, eh? Bathurst.

I am halfway through watching it download style. I had to get some shut eye at 12:30 a.m. last night.

Thanks for the updates.

15/10:

Bathurst Results are posted. Bear in mind they are UNOFFICIAL until the ruling for a possible penalty for the 12 car, which will be decided the weekend of the Gold Coast Round. Please refer to the Bathurst Stewards Summary thread for more detail.

However for now, the Bathurst podium is:

1 Ignition Motorsports / ignition / Ford Falcon FG
2 ITR Mugen / Infamous / Honda NSX
3 Legocy Racing / Lanky1 / Ford Mustang

ITR Mugen has also muscled their way to the top of the table with this round result.

In the Tournament, the Regular Season has come to an end. The Post Season for eight teams commences at the Gold Coast.

Tiebreakers decided the final berth wherein MT2 mSPORT pipped Ain't Care Motorsports with a greater margin of victory throughout the year. Both had 180 point wins during the season, but MT2 mSPORT's 156 point win in Round 12 (Bathurst) sealed the deal for the second best point margin. ITR Mugen was also in the hunt with the same W-L records, but their greatest margin of victory was 177 points, so they came home third there.

Four of the seven Moffat Division teams made it though.

In the V8CFL Enduro Cup, the combined teams of ITR Mugen and 7 Eleven Mobil 1 Racing have taken the early lead with their Bathurst win.

In the Open International Enduro Cup, it is buzzer and his Hiroshima Racing camp getting the jump.

Next up: Gold Coast AND the stewards findings from Bathurst. Everything is UNOFFICIAL until then, men.

************

18/10:

Just looking at the table and any adjustments having to be made if the 12 car will be excluded from the Bathurst Round (just speculating, of course):

Only two teams have the 12 car on their roster, despite their success this year. Those two teams are:

Shogun Autosport, &
MT2 mSPORT

So table-wise, they could take hits and others move on up some spots.

Now Tournament-wise, as MT2 mSPORT got into the Post Season, based on their individual Bathurst win, as the last team based on W-L records, believe-it-or-not these two teams actually RACED each other for the Bathurst Round. So no matter WHAT the 12 car outcome will be, it will be a wash for both teams and MT2 mSPORT will hold their position as they will still win their match for the weekend.

All speculation, though, men. We'll see what happens in the weeks to come.

I tell you boys, these Virgin Supercars officials are testing my temper these past few rounds with these Safety Car shenanigans.

************

20/10:

All tables have been updated with the post-Bathurst CAMS decisions, men.

The 12 car will receive no (zero) points. All others behind that car who scored will be moved up one place in the final table and given the applicable points. The V8CFL recognizes all of the points penalties thrown at the 12 car as noted in the Stewards Summary wherein there were both driver points deducted and moreso, team points deducted.

https://www.cams.com.au/media/news/detail/2019/10/20/cams-stewards-hand-down-bathurst-verdict

What does this affect?

In the V8CFL, MT2 mSPORT and Shogun Autosport take the biggest hits, for they are the only two teams with the 12 car on their rosters. Some members move up, some move down, some stay the same.

7 Eleven Mobil 1 Racing loses their 5th place finish and drops to 6th. R&K Motorsports moves from 6th to 5th. Sorry, Craig. Believe me, I hate to do have to do these things and actually come out ahead in the process.

In the Tournament, no race results for Bathurst were affected, so everyone's W-L record is the same. The point spreads have changed a bit, but with respect to the tiebreaker for getting MT2 mSPORT into the post season, nothing was affected. They still have the upper hand with the tiebreaker.

The V8CFL Enduro Cup and the Open International Enduro Cup tables have also been changed. There were some slight ups and downs for a few involved. No one had the 12 car entered for Bathurst in the Open International Enduro Cup, but subsequent point shuffling of the other cars DID affect some outcomes and placings. In the V8CFL Enduro Cup, the teams associated with Shogun Autosport and MT2 mSPORT were hit the hardest.

I hope we never meet on these terms again. On the BRIGHT side they did not wait until NEXT weekend to rule on this controversy.

Please check your scores to back me up.

Tryhard pants might be required. Hell, regular pants might be required there, too?

Past Thursday Midnight in Sydney. All team rosters are locked in for the Gold Coast weekend. Good luck to all. Keep your pants nearby, at least.

A little Tournament matching. Here are the roster differences, minus the Group F tiebreaking cars, for all four matchups. All other cars are a wash for mano-o-mano competition of the sort. As you can see it will come down to only two cars in three of the four matchups:

McG Motorsport (8-2) v. Blokes Advice Racing (6-4)
9 55
2 18

A-Tech Motorsport (6-4) v. 7 Eleven Mobil 1 Racing (6-4)
88 9
18 2
6 22
8 99

All Aussie Racing (6-4) v. MT2 mSPORT (5-5)
55 12
23 6

Scott Morrison Motorsports (7-3) v. R&K Motorsports (6-4)
2 18
99 5

I'll catch you all on the other side of the checkers.

Gold Coast Results will be out in the next 24 hours. Heck of a weekend here. I ran into a slab of beer and a heavy set girl. One hit me out of control in the back, the other fell on me.

I won't say which was which but it was great!

************

29/10:

Gold Coast Results are posted men. Sideways Racing took BOTH races and really gave all the business in Race 2.

Podiums:

Race 1:

1 Sideways Racing / Brightman / Holden Commodore ZB
2 Esurientes Autosports / Esurientes / Nissan GTR
3 Millenial Snowflake Motorsports / tommo11 / Ford Mustang

Race 2:

1 Sideways Racing / Brightman / Holden Commodore ZB
2 GoGetEm Racing / Professor / Holden Commodore ZB
3 McG Motorsport / DanMcG / Hyundai Excel X3

As for the Table, Millenial Snowflake Motorsports and tommo11 have taken charge.

In the Tournament, we are now down to four teams:

McG Motorsport
MT2 mSPORT
Scott Morrison Motorsports
A-Tech Motorsport

In the V8CFL Enduro Cup, A-Tech Motorsport and McG Motorsport command the table.

And in the Open International Enduro Cup, our new unknown entity, Hiroshima Racing with Team Principal buzzer and his Mazda6 have won the Gold Coast round to match their win in the Bathurst round. A tough team they are.

As for the Stewards Summary, it is pretty much a done deal with all penalties dished out during the two races. No post race point deductions.

See you all next at Sandown.

Mike, a question for Sandown...

How will the points work? There's technically 3 races over the weekend:
Race 28: Co-Driver qualy race
Race 29: Main Driver continuation of the above qualy race
Race 30: The 500

Will we recieve points for Race 28/29 or just 30?
Races 28/29 are just qualifying races, with the combined results deciding the grid for Race 30 (the 500).
It looks like Each of the qualifying races will be worth 25pts each (25 to the winner, 24 to second and so on), with Race 30 worth 250pts.

I can't find any source though... I may be wrong about how the pts divvy up...
