I know a lot of drivers get on a plane and go home right away but why can't they stay another day? Or party when they get home?

As for Aaron Seton, I dare say when spectating in the future he'll chuck some race gear in the boot of the car, just in case.

don't think there is too much in it myself... gotta remember you are supposed to be .00 when on track so whoever it was (if it happened) so the driver wouldn't necessarily have had a 'big night out', just that they have had a little more than they could get back to .00 overnight.

But still as a driver you'd imagine you'd be aware that you may be breath tested and have to be at 0 and therefore take the responsibility to ensure you don't have anything left in your system by the next morning.

Mouthwash, Cough Syrup or Soy sauce could put one over the 0.00 limit.

You have been watching NT politics.

Soy sauce is addictive.

It also has 3.5% alcohol (at least in the one I checked.).

This may seem off topic, but it is surely something for drivers to consider if wanting to stay under 0.00%.

Which leads us to the scenario that we have now....one driver tested positive, out of every test that was done, and everyone is trying to guess who it was.

Sonic, someone that you and I both know has been caught by a CATO over the limit (The limit isn't 0.00, it is 0.01 for this test) and it was handled delicately and correctly. Not with a press release, and then the guessing that comes with it.

Girolami may be only sixth in the WTCR, but he has handed out a lesson to gain pole.

Heimgartner showed what he can do in a decent car to complete the front row.

Has Jason Bright split with MSR? His cars are listed as Melbourne Performance Centre.

Was at t9 this morning for quali and those Hondas were crazy quick through there!!

race was ok but being wet/drying track meant that it wasn't full on one way or the other... weather is supposed to be good tomorrow so hopefully we get 2 good hard dry races and see where they end up

Good race weekend. Seems like they have sorta killed Sandown a bit with the new runoff at the end of the back straight. Honestly it was probably a good move considering the incidents we've seen there in recent years, but the whole section seems a little bland now.

It would be a good fit with Grand Prix Mazda and Jake Camilleri, possibly fettled by MARC.

The Peters/Dawson team from Redcliffe also have good Mazda connections.

There is already a Cupra here and Peugeot are bringing a car here, so the number of makes is expanding..

It does make one wonder why any manufacturer would want to enter Supercars, running cars that resemble exactly what the public aren't buying, when for a lot less money, they can back one of the willing and competent teams wanting to race TCR, in Australia and NZ, in near cousins to the cars that are selling..

I hope so. It's funny, I don't like the look of the new Mazda 3 road car at all. I think Mazda have gone too far with the styling. But the TCR car looks **** hot. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it looks better than the Audi and Volkswagen, which are my favourite TCR cars.

To enter a new brand in Supercars the cost far outweighs the benefits. Over the years manufacturers have tried to enter and one has approached or been approached by 3 different teams but it is just to expensive to start out and due to the uniqueness of the series near impossible to get the global backing required.

TCR in Australia so far has been pretty good. I am not a fan of the body shapes as I am into a different type of car but the racing is good enough to look past it and enjoy. It seems affordable for everyone involved and attracts a few different levels of racers so there is excitement throughout the field.

Foges claimed back in June Mazda Australia would support an Australian entry in 2020.

But they also said they have no plans to enter a factory team.

I don't think they have Factory Teams in TCR or WTCR.

Manufacturers certainly support private teams.
