It looks the goods, I think it is wrong to include any cars post-2014 though, to me it is a completely new team from then on.

Wonder if the book will include the Escort and the first EB?

I do agree.
It would also draw a line in the sand for a strictly 'DJR' book.
I liked the fact that the HRT book had a beginning and an end, no more cars to be produced.. it wouldn't be mid-story, it was the complete works.

Noonan has opened pre-orders for the DJR/Penske book for those interested.
40 years of running, 80% in a Falcon, and a bloody Mustang ends up on the front - I reckon it's a damn shame for our now defunct Aussie car scene... this is the exact place it should be remembered!

For those interested, I paid the hefty price for the HRT one, and I enjoyed it thoroughly, great stories and detailed lists of wins etc. I'd recommend this one.
Next up will surely be Perkins? Moff and Brock have been very well detailed before.

It's a shame the book doesn't seperate Dick Johnson Racing from the ongoing DJR Team Penske.

Something book ending the DJR lifespan would be better, in my opinion

RIP LJ - loved and never forgotten.

"It was dry for the second go-around. Grice, nervous, worrying about his Bathurst jinx, ran 2:25.9. The amazing Brock, using every last centimetre of bitumen, yet keeping the car straight and balanced and at full noise, came back with a staggering 2:20.0 as if to say: "Match that". And people just shook their heads, bit their lips and wondered who would be second".

The Peter Brock trophy is now where it belongs.

Iíve been contemplating getting this book.

They published a chapter of the book in AMC a few months back, and the inaccuracies in that chapter (about cleaning up the top of the mountain in the late-90s/ early-2000s) was pretty disappointing

encouraging to hear itís a good read so far CP

I agree, his London - Sydney Marathon book was pretty good as well.
