Well which one do you think?

I haven't really seen Williamson perform too much since that last over.

To respond to Bruce in the NRL thread: it is probably the single hardest loss I have had to deal with at Souths to lose Bully. Much worse than Sam Burgess as he didn't symbolise Souths as Bully did. I think a lot will underestimate just how much a loss he will be to Souths but I fully understand how engrossed he is with NZ and I think given that he will make the successful transition that others haven't.

He hasn't had to, as we have soooooooooo much batting talent we can fall back on. You know, like Taylor, Vettori and Southee. Hopefully Southee doesn't get a bat, coz youse in trouble then, boyee.

NZ win the toss and bat. It's the only way for them to be competitive in this final.

McCullum crazy batting right there! Insane choice of shots! He's the NZ captain??

Now guptil is out to a part-timer Maxwell.

Maxwell's bowling has been pretty rubbish this over.

Lol all this NZ batting talent.

NZ in a bit of poo. Can't seem to get the ball off the square. What an awful shot from Guptil.

Gonna be a low scoring game. NZ will really need to bowl well.

I think Warnie wants this World Cup more than Clarkie.

Hey undertaker where are you? It is a bit quiet here

BREAKING NEWS

NEW ZEALAND LOSE FOR FIRST TIME

Melbourne, Australia:
March 29, 2015

Tonight New Zealand suffered their first loss in the 2015 WCC.
Unfortunately it was at the hands of Australia in the only match that counted - the final.

We spoke with several spectators after the match. One man, resplendent in top hat and tails was inconsolable, saying he felt like going home and burying himself. When pressed about the turning point in the match he said, "The first over."

Another gentleman with a flowing silver beard said that he thought it was fitting for Australia to win the World Cup for the 5th time and it was especially significant as they put New Zealand back in their rightful place for another few years. He also said it shows why there is one more star on the Australian flag than the New Zealand one.

Sorry undertaker

Sorry undertaker
I think undertaker went to bed early tonight. Either very early (like when McCallum was bowled in the first over), or a bit later, but still early (like when Warner knocked up a "fat" 45 at better than a run a ball).

Went to the game.

Ripper day.

The noise when Starc got the opening wicket was bloody loud!

Was a bloody awesome day.

RIP LJ - loved and never forgotten.

"It was dry for the second go-around. Grice, nervous, worrying about his Bathurst jinx, ran 2:25.9. The amazing Brock, using every last centimetre of bitumen, yet keeping the car straight and balanced and at full noise, came back with a staggering 2:20.0 as if to say: "Match that". And people just shook their heads, bit their lips and wondered who would be second".

The Peter Brock trophy is now where it belongs.

No worries LG. One team knows how to win with style, the other doesn't. Know which team I would rather support.

You guys played well, and have my congratulations, and you are right Zac, had cricinfo on my computer, saw McCallum was facing 2nd ball so walked to lounge and turned tv on to hear McCallum was out. Said to the missus that's it, we're done and turned off. My son was at the game and kept me up to date with a running commentary. Ended up watching a top gear episode I hadn't seen all week.

The memories will always be there of our gallant campaign played in the spirit of the game.

Definitely a during drinking session decision following the game.

Oh come on Undie. The Australians were only returning serve for the mouthfuls they copped in NZ when they were sent packing.

You blokes were always going to make the final on your swinging wickets and small grounds but it was always going to be a different story at the MCG
