Gold Coast Results are up, men.  Before I begin I have yet to find an official Stewards Summary.  I do know that via the Supercars website the 31 car was penalized 30 points post race in Race 2 for the inadvertent air jack drop and the RR rotor hitting the ground.  This penalty HAS been applied to the V8CFL points for said race.  Once I find an official Stewards Summary I will either adjust the V8CFL point differences or leave the V8CFL points as they are, depending on the summary.  I will notify all either way.

But as for now, Ecurie SCarGo had a HUGE weekend with a win and a second place.  They now are atop the V8CFL Table headed to Adelaide.

R&K Motorsports and Ecurie SCarGo will head to the V8CFL Tournament final head-to-head in Adelaide for that championship.

Race 1 podium:
1 Ecurie SCarGo / stevo qld / Chevrolat Camaro
2 Kalyara Racing Team / Kytabu / Ford Focus ST
3 Ain't Care Motorsports / skaifeman / Chevrolet Camaro

Race 2 podium:
1 Ain't Care Motorsports / skaifeman / Chevrolet Camaro
2 Ecurie SCarGo / stevo qld / Chevrolat Camaro
3 Kalyara Racing Team / Kytabu / Ford Focus ST

Congrats to skaifeman and Ain't Care Motorsports for their first win of 2024.

So let me see if I have this straight:

WAU hooked Woods's fuel nozzle into Mostert's car.  No fuel went into it.  Hence the later needed third pit stop for Chas.

But then they are fined $2500.  For what?  What breach was it?  It is not like they altered Mostert's car by putting Woods's tyres on it, or fuel in it.

But there you have it.

Just completed watching the Gold Coast round.

I realize that WAU used the wrong refueling gantry for Chas in Race 2 and have not seen a stewards summary for the race, but what was the big deal?  There was no mandatory fuel drop for this race.  Nothing has to be measured.  Now if they didn't get enough fuel in the tank, that is their problem but I see the gantry usage as a no issue.  At least they used the one in THEIR pits.

And man.... had Brodie not flipped his lid early in the season, with the way Erebus is running, he might just be right in the mix right now.

Any changes to the circuit/chicane kerbs?  I know they are toying with no sensors at some locations, but have they changed the kerb heights or placements?

Repco Supercars Championship / Re: Silly Season 2025
October 25, 2024, 01:05:56 PM
Do not forget the FPR days when the battery came loose in the boot and started bouncing around causing the whole arse end of the Falcon to go up in a flambe.  I think Richo was the co-driver that year.  Well before the co-drivers could not be full time drivers.

And Luke Youlden a few years later forgot to turn left at Murray's and that was that for that Bathurst go.

Yes.  A co-driver for the enduros will be a great spot for him.  I wish we had more enduros.  Or with the new playoff format gimmick we are going to have maybe have another gimmick with a race within a round or two mid-season weekends for co-drivers to go head-to head and score points for the teams.

Gold Coast roster change deadline has passed.  You have what you have.  Good luck to all.  Two rounds to go this year.  We have a tight battle atop the V8CFL and the V8CFL Tournament Playoffs begin.

The Gold Coast Round will be upon us this weekend.  Never too early to start contemplating team roster changes.  Thursday Midnight is always the deadline.

In the V8CFL, here is the podium:

1 Kalyara Racing Team / Kytabu / Ford Focus ST
2 Shogun Autosport / Helix / Ford Mustang
3 Ain't Care Motorsports / skaifeman / Chevrolet Camaro

TGI Racing had an off round so now TAA Performance is atop the table by a few markers.

In the V8CFL Tournament, the Regular Season has come to a close and we are now headed to the Post-Season with four teams.  R&K Motorsports, TAA Performance, Ecurie SCarGo, and The Arrow Motorsport.  R&K Motorsports and The Arrow Motorsport were matched up at Bathurst and will again be matched up at The Gold Coast.

As for the V8CFL Enduro Cup, TAA Performance & Ain't Care Motorsports took honors in the Ford Mustang V6 TT, but the overall Enduro Cup goes to Ecurie SCarGo & Bundaberg Rum Racing & their Chevrolet Camaro.

And lastly in the Open Invitational Enduro Cup, skaifeman took Bathurst and the overall cup.

Thanks to all for participating!

P.S.  There were no post race penalties issued in the Stewards Summary for Bathurst.

It is in the wee hours of Monday Morning over in Oz right now.  I just got the Bathurst 1000 'delivered' to me.  Give me a good day, or so, to tally things up.  In the meantime I am staying away from all sports media to prevent a spolier.

Thanks for your patience.
