Quote from: LG on June 11, 2024, 04:42:55 PMHill has had his payback in the sense that he started it by knocking SVG out of the win at Circuit of the Americas.
He probably won't see it that way though as he's an all time douche bag.
Hill has immediately become the loathe of all Australia/NZ.

SVG will get it back, no doubt. He can hand it out too, as well all know. Shame in NASCAR you can't park anyone in ;D.
Stalking him doing the burnout was great too. Shane is a handful of races in and already onto the mind games.

I find some of the comments on social media, in support of SVG, to be embarrassing. It's fantastic how well he is doing and I understand fans get excited, but it's a shame that in many cases praise for SVG is posted with little respect for other drivers in the series.

Yes there's been a couple of incidents with Hill, but he's currently 2nd in the points so obviously a fast driver. Some criticism of him is warranted but I fear that Americans will see some of the comments as arrogance from Aussie & Kiwi fans which could cause backlash for Shane.

If you look at the comments of many Nascar stalwarts and even some drivers they think SVG is the best thing since sliced bread. On road tracks in particular they have no idea how he drives so fast and gets his car in position to overtake others with apparent ease. They have to keep reminding themselves that he's a rookie. In a way it's a bit like when Ambrose went over all those years ago and showed them how to drive on road circuits.

A pretty good race this morning for the Xfinity series on the streets of Chicago.
SVG was on pole again and went on to win the race with some good tussles in there.
Listening to him speak he is a completely different person, even affable, to the one who raced here.
He must have found himself in a good situation.

He's still very much the same person, just ask Austin Hill.
The mind games are still there, he won't want to be pushed around as the new guy.
Good to see the new light on SVG.

Only watched the highlights but he had a few clean dices, the left/right corner combinations of the circuit really help that out.
The NASCAR seems far more able to hold a variety of lines to invoke a lot more passing - compared to a Supercar.

I'll be tuning in for the Cup race in the morning.

His drive from 5th to 1st in the last 10 or so laps was pretty good. I'm not an SVG fan at all, but what he has don on the road courses in Nascar is very impressive.
If you don't like my comment, ignore it. If you don't know how to ignore it, message me and I will be only too happy to demonstrate how.

I wouldn't ask that cry baby the time of day.
He's fine dishing it out but can't take it.

SVG takes the first stage, and then gets taken out by Chase Briscoe. Day done.

That was a real bummer for the hoped for spectacle.

Seems Diff has reached the pinnacle of his motorsport career.  This will be a great segway for him to subsequantly shuffle over to call all of the WWE matches for the Wrestlemanias.

Logano takes the win, holding off Blaney. Penske/Ford 1-2.
Blaney had massive pace over the last 15 laps or so, and I really thought he was going to do it.

It was great to see, having only been watching for a year or so, that the playoff contenders were all in the top 5 for fair chunks of the race.
It makes it feel more genuine, than all running mid pack and a guy who finishes 10th takes the title.

I've got to say, about right after Chev's tactics last weekend.
