really do think it is simply a case of too many 'upper tiers' in too small a market.

tcr did have the potential to do something good. it was different to what was current. it was a door into a european series.

but for whatever folk believe to be the reason it just never got its roots deep enough. disappointingly I think it is time to pack its bags and walk away at the end of this series.

having said that it has announced a 'world tour' again at the bend with the sc500 event. perhaps making tcr into a 'summer series' where it's not fighting against the other racing categories so much, and the hope of better weather/crowds could work for it?

The Fanatec GT Series also only had 12 cars for the race.  And this one was a three hour go, no the two one hour races.  A 12 car race in a short sprint three race format for TCR is somewhat palatable, but a three hour race with 12 cars was unbearable to me.

Too bad for this racing series.  It is on life support.
