Will be watching from the couch.    87, 25 or 6 for the win. Everyone will need a clean race to even have a chance with how close the cars are.

would like to but looks like I'll be missing it again this year. not enough leave built up with the new job and I'm taking 4 days over 2 weekends already to attend the VicState championships where I'll see a whole lot more action in 4 days than up at the hill and having to get my bag checked every time I shift legs...

We got our spot at Max Cameron sorted.
And we'll be up there early December, entered in the BLCC Speed Weekend.

I'll add another two cars to Albert's list, the 19 and 88.
Payne has shown his worth, and you can't get much better than Tander behind the wheel.
Feeney will be fast, and I'd like to think Whincup has an axe to grind at that place.

QuoteWork is taking place to reconstruct the tyre barrier on the outside of Turn 2, the uphill right-hander known as Griffins Bend.

The makeup of the tyre barrier that was installed 20 years ago to protect cars from the concrete wall is no longer considered best practice.

Its reconstruction should prevent a commonly seen occurrence at the corner, according to Motorsport Australia track inspector David Stuart.

"The barrier that's been removed was constructed to what was accepted as the best method at the time," Stuart explained to Speedcafe.

"The FIA has undertaken testing on tyre barriers over recent years and determined that a bolted joint between tyres, both vertically and laterally, is the best method of connection to get the barrier to work as a homogenous unit.

"Everyone would have witnessed cars hitting that tyre buffer, particularly on the mid-to-exit, and submarining under the tyres.

"That occurs when they're not bolted. By bolting them and refacing the conveyer, it should resist cars from being able to submarine."

new safer wall but look at that road surface!!!!!!!

we are up the top, should be a bit quieter one for me this year, my 2 sons and their mates aren't coming  ;D  ;D  ;D

Because I am there it will be a Chev win.  As stated before, every time I go, and been going since 2000 there hasn't been a Ford win

Just looked at the track schedule for the event.

6.30am start time for the lead up days. Thats early.

Sonic

:'( that is nasty! the flaggies are going to be up at 4 for their briefings and to be out on post... that really sucks!

We all enjoy a good Bathurst with plenty of on track action but that is going too far.

An hour later wouldn't be a bad thing. Run the show from 7-6 instead of 6-5... but still a monster of a day for the officials whatever their capacity.

The 3 resident access times are all pretty early too.

Those session times are off by an hour; that page on the website doesn't take into account that we'll switch to Daylight Saving before then. Thursday to Saturday will start at 7:30:
